In this piece, I worked loosely from a simple still-life by simplifying shapes and letting the composition unfold through layers. Soft neutrals and warm greens build the background, while the vase and bowl take form through blocks of colour pushed and pulled until they settled into balance. The result is a quiet, grounded moment—familiar, lived-in, and easy to welcome into any space.
