This painting evolved slowly through a process of building and removing layers, simplifying shapes, adjusting values, and allowing subtle textures to emerge naturally over time. I was especially drawn to the conversation between the structured background and the softer, organic forms resting across the table. The drips, marks, and partially revealed layers became just as important as the objects themselves, giving the piece a feeling of memory and presence.
