20 × 18 inches, acrylic and mixed media on Gallery Depth canvas. Ready to hang.
Quiet Conversations is a contemporary still life painting inspired by the quiet comfort of shared moments, soft light, and familiar objects gathered around the table. Gentle pinks, warm oranges, and muted greens create a layered composition filled with warmth, balance, and subtle movement. The simplified floral forms and vessels drift between abstraction and memory, inviting the viewer to slow down and linger.
This piece was created through an intuitive process of layering acrylic paint, refining shapes, softening edges, and allowing earlier marks to remain visible beneath the surface. I worked slowly to balance colour relationships and create harmony between the structured background shapes and the loose organic forms. The visible textures, drawn lines, and partially revealed layers became an important part of the painting’s atmosphere, adding depth and a sense of history to the work.
Like much of my work, Quiet Conversations reflects my love of home, connection, and the beauty found in everyday rituals. The painting was created to bring softness, warmth, and a sense of calm into a space while leaving room for personal interpretation and emotion.
If this piece speaks to you, I would love for it to become part of a welcoming home where its quiet energy and layered story can be enjoyed for years to come.
