I love bringing together familiar objects and seeing how they work alongside one another. Here, a few simple vessels, some fruit and a handful of branches were my starting point. I played with deep purples, olive greens and warm ochres, adding little bits of pattern and texture along the way. I especially like the contrast between the soft, rounded shapes and the more structured background. It's the kind of everyday arrangement that feels familiar to me, which is why I called it Chez Nous.
